These are a small collection of Japanese advertisements, posters and magazine covers from the 1920s and 30s. The Japanese, during this time, were embracing new forms of graphic design as waves of social change swept across the nation. Within these designs, apart from the obvious leftist political voice, the popularity of Western art and culture is a huge influence, as well as the growth of modern industry and technology.
